Meet of the Chef

Russell L. Morgan is Owner and Executive Chef of Simply Soul Food & Catering, LLC.  Chef Morgan offers succulent entrees served with timely personification. He is an established entrepreneur, caterer, trainer, & consultant. As a young boy, he developed his passion for the culinary arts while experimenting with different dishes in his mother’s kitchen.  As a self taught chef, his extensive knowledge of seafood & southern cuisine has taken unconventional paths to recognition. Chef Morgan came to his customers’ attention through humble beginnings of preparing dishes for local beauty salons and barber shops. In 2001, he began cooking for various social events receiving rave reviews for his unique and consistent cooking style and unforgettable flavors. He expanded his network of clientele by preparing delicious and convenient weekly meals.

Today, Chef Morgan is highly requested for weddings, celebrity social events, office parties, and family functions among many other events.  Chef Morgan takes pride in his superb ability to serve his customers no matter their needs. Whether you’re looking for someone to serve five (5) people or one thousand (1,000) people, Chef Morgan looks forward to serving you with style and a smile.

When Chef Morgan opened the restaurant Simply Delightful Soul Food to the public for an everyday dine-in or carry out experience, it was a dream realized. Chef Russ' goal is to leave a fabulous taste in your mouth and leave you saying "THAT WAS SIMPLY DELIGHTFUL!"
